Jacinda Ardern's UN address has more YouTube views than Donald Trump and Theresa May's speeches combined

Jacinda Ardern’s speech to the UN General Assembly late last month has been watched more times on YouTube than those of US President Donald Trump and British PM Theresa May put together.

As of this morning, Ms Ardern’s address had been viewed almost 165,000 times on the UN’s YouTube channel.

By comparison, the British PM and President Trump’s speeches had been viewed 41,000 times and almost 34,800 times respectively on the UN channel.

French President Emmanuel Macron’s speech to the UN was watched just over 6,000 times.

In their speeches, Ms Ardern and Mr Trump stood in direct opposition with the prime minister encouraging global leaders to look beyond themselves, to commit to “kindness and collectivism” and to rebuild multilateralism on September 28.

Conversely, Mr Trump used his address on September 26 to reject globalism and trumpet the successes his patriotic ideals had brought to the USA.
