A young koala has jumped at the chance to hitch a ride on an Aussie farmer's quad bike to escape farm dogs.
With the koala perched apprehensively on the front bull bar of the quad bike, the farmer can be heard describing the events that led to the furry close encounter.
"Coming across the paddock one of me dogs frightened him and he nearly went into the pond," Victorian farmer Leigh Clarke said in the footage obtained by Seven News.
"Anyway, I'm just giving him a ride back to the dairy, he'll dry off and we'll ring the wildlife protection.
"A little young bloke he is, he jumped up on the bike easily."
