Sightseers who gathered to check out giant waves whipped up by a storm off America’s West Coast found themselves a little too close to the action.
Several waves surged in from the beach, engulfing vehicles along a nearby road and carpark at Cape Disappointment in Washington State.
The state park was eventually shut to visitors with nine metre waves pounding the coastline.
