Raw: New footage emerges of horror building collapse during Mexico earthquake

October 2, 2017

New video footage appearing to show the collapse of a building Mexico City during the devastating September 19 earthquake has emerged.

The footage, which looks to be taken from a traffic camera at the corner of Calle Amsterdam and Calle Laredo in the suburb of La Condensa, shows pedestrians stopped in their tracks by the intense shaking from the 7.1-quake.

The Colonia Hipódromo - a 12-storey apartment building on the corner of the two streets - collapsed during the quake with families trapped inside.

Rescuers reported that only one person was saved from the building.

At least 360 people have now been reported dead from the quake.
