The Taranaki team arrived in New Plymouth today and celebrated winning the Ranfurly Shield with their fans.

Taranaki defeated Canterbury 55-43 in Christchurch last night to claim the Log of Wood.

Captain Charlie Ngatai held the log of wood aloft at New Plymouth Airport this morning.

The centre shone as his side fought back to claim the log of wood in Canterbury last night.

The hooker helped his side to a 55-43 win in Christchurch last night.
