Watch: Can woeful Blues avoid another humiliation by losing to an Aussie team this weekend?

May 1, 2018

NZ's 36-0 record against Australian sides is in jeopardy as the struggling Blues head to Sydney.

Despite what's proving to be another season of on-field turmoil at the Blues, the side are staying together as a unit - even as the prospect of losing New Zealand sides' record against their Australian counterparts draws nearer.

New Zealand sides' form against Australian teams has been emphatic in recent years, with the last 36 matches all going in favour of the Kiwi team.

However, following the Blues' 20-13 loss to the Jaguares at Eden Park last week - the first New Zealand side to lose to the Argentinian team - the 36-0 record is in serious jeopardy.

Speaking at Blues training today though, hooker James Parsons insists that the team are staying together, despite their horrendous form in 2018.

"It's obvious we're going through tough times at the moment, but it has galvanised us," he told 1 NEWS.

"It's a big focus, to stay together as a group and fight it.

"Personally, I feel like there's a good vibe in the group each week, and (we're) working extremely hard to get the results."

The Blues face the Waratahs at Brookvale Oval on Saturday night.
