All Blacks winge Rieko Ioane's rapid rise to stardom continues, as the youngster was shortlisted for World Rugby's Breakthrough Player of the Year award.
Ioane, 20, has starred in his first full season with the All Blacks, scoring eight tries in eight matches, ousting Julian Savea from the left wing position in the process.
The winger finished the All Blacks' unbeaten Rugby Championship campaign as his side's top try scorer with five, having made the position his own.
Ioane faces competition from French centre Damian Penaud and Argentina wing Emiliano Boffelli on the shortlist for the award.
Should he win, Ioane would be the second Kiwi to lift the award, after Nehe Milner-Skudder earned the trophy for his performances in 2015.
