Bora-Hansgrohe riders Oscar Gatto and Rafal Majka were both involved in a sickening crash during cycling's Tirreno-Adriatico overnight.
During the event's time trial, one spectator wandered aimlessly into the path of the oncoming Bora-Hansgrohe team, taking down the pair of Gatto and Majka.
"Initial reports indicate that Oscar Gatto has sustained some bruising, while Rafal Majka went down somewhat harder," Bora-Hansgrohe tweeted.
"Further testing will need to be done to evaluate their injuries. However, both riders finished the stage today."
That wasn't the end of spectator-related chaos though, with another pedestrian nearly colliding with the Michelton-Scott team, while out walking a dog.
