The first ever team made up of both men and women have won this year's edition of the five-day GODZone Adventure Race.
Team Perpetual Guardian, the two man and two woman team, began the event in Akaroa on Sunday morning, alongside 63 other entries.
The team have taken on more than 500 kilometres of the toughest terrain in Canterbury with minimal sleep over the 5-day period.
The sporting event is made up of 8 stages with sports including, running, coasteering, pack rafting, caving, trekking and mountain biking.
