Watch: Warriors credit Kieran Read for keeping focus in Rabbitohs win

March 13, 2018

The All Blacks captain has taught the Warriors some new tricks for 2018.

Warriors captain Roger Tuivasa-Sheck is crediting All Blacks skipper Kieran Read for helping his side keep their composure during their 32-20 win over the Rabbitohs in Perth to open their new NRL campaign.

During the win, the Warriors would be seen huddled together after every try they scored - in the same way that the All Blacks do - with Tuivasa-Sheck taking time to keep his side focused before the continuation of the match.

Speaking at Warriors training today, Tuivasa-Sheck detailed the new tactic employed by his team.

"It's something that we got off Kieran Read when he came into camp," he said.

"(It's) just to bring everyone back in and re-focus, just get ready for what's next."

Tuivasa-Sheck also hinted that Read has given some more tips to the Warriors for the side to bring out further into the season - however wasn't prepared to give them away.

"There's too many."

"There's things like having a debrief, having the leader speak, there's a lot of small things that were brought into our system."
