Former Warriors coach Tony Kemp says if the Warriors front up and get the win over the Panthers tomorrow night in Sydney, they can go all the way and win their first NRL premiership title.
Kemp believes the Warriors' spine and current form has set them up for perfectly going into the play-offs.
"It is the tightest competition in its history, but this new competition if they get through this week, I reckon they are a dead set chance of going all the way," said Kemp.
The Warriors beat the Panthers last month 36-16 in Auckland, but were outclassed 36-4 in Penrith in round 17 in July.
"They (Warriors) beat them last time at home, Shaun Johnson's best game. So he needs to step up.
"But when they went there (Penrith) last time, they got beaten up by their young blokes and that will be still hurting a little bit."
Kemp told TVNZ 1's Breakfast that the Warriors should expect huge support from fans across the ditch.
"Generally when the Warriors go to Sydney they get a lot of support," he said.
"It's going to be painted black no matter what.
"It's a new competition, 26 weeks of back-to-back hard grind to get there (play-offs). Only two points out of finishing first, you got to remember that."
The winner of tomorrow's NRL play-off match will face the loser out of the Sydney Roosters and Cronulla Sharks fixture next week.
