A defeated Zambian boxer has launched an astonishing foul-mouthed tirade at his Australian rival, busting in on his opponent's interview by a TVNZ Te Karere reporter.
Clay Waterman, an Australian boxer of Maori and Aborigine heritage, had just defeated Zambia's Mbachi Kaonga 4-1 on points in the 81kg quarterfinals and was speaking to Irena Smith when the vanquished boxer let his feelings known.
"This is bulls***, the judges, this is f****** bulls***," he said, before being dragged away by a trainer.
After returning fire - using more diplomatic language - Waterman apologised for the swearing and continued with the interview.
