'Thanks bro' - Steven Adams ecstatic with NBA star Paul George sticking with OKC Thunder

August 20, 2018

The NBA star spoke with 1 NEWS about his upcoming season with the Thunder.

Steven Adams has given OKC Thunder teammate Paul George a shout out in typically Kiwi fashion – saying "thanks bro."

The 25-year-old told 1 NEWS that he has high hopes for his NBA side next season, which starts in two months, after free agent George elected to stay with the Thunder.

"We are looking good, looking pretty good," said Adams.

"Yeah we got a good sign back, Paul George just signed back with us, thanks bro."

The Thunder had a disappointing end to this year's NBA season, exiting the play-offs in the first round in six games to the Utah Jazz.

The OKC Thunder NBA star said his "fingers are nervous as" when asked to play the guitar.

"We're just got to come into training camp and go from there, build from there.

"It's not going to be pretty but we are going to be the best team that we can be."

George signed a four-year deal with the Thunder last month.
