A group of three youths are believed to have attacked the woman.

Police are investigating after an altercation in Manukau allegedly ended with a woman miscarrying as a result of the injuries she sustained.

A post on Facebook published yesterday said a group of three youths attacked a man and a woman who were at the Manukau train station about midday on Saturday.

The person who wrote the post, who 1 NEWS has decided not to name, said the victims were sitting at the station about 12.15pm when they were set upon.

"One of the culprits kicked her in the stomach," they said.

The person who wrote the post said the three attackers were last seen getting on a bus bound for Hastings.

1 NEWS was also provided with a brief video clip which the person says shows the victim leaving the station as security staff look on.

A police spokesperson confirmed that they were called to a disorder event in Manukau where a woman who was pregnant was reported to have been kicked and punched.

The woman was taken to hospital, they said.

Police say they are now investigating, but in light of the early stage in the process, they are unable to confirm any details or provide further comment.

The father of the baby posted on his own Facebook account, threatening vengeance against the attackers.

"To them three foolz that killed my baby ... I am cumn for u," he wrote.

"Watch ur baccs I'm cumn an I'm a kill uz wen I catch uz in jail."
