Woman dies in Southland crash

A woman has died following a car crash in Soutland this morning.

The 63-year-old was travelling on Mataura Island-Fortrose Road in Tokanui at around 9.30am when the crash occurred.

She was the sole occupant of the car and died at the scene.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash.

The Serious Crash Unit is investigating the crash.
