Kieren Boyle reckons he's living the dream, fishing for crayfish on the notorious Cook Strait.
The school dropout can't wait to get out of bed every morning, even though the alarm goes of at 3.30am.
In the first of a new 'Living the Dream series on Seven Sharp, Tamati Rimene-Sproat reports Kieren has been dreaming of his life on the sea since he first picked up a rod.
He braves choppy seas, but cray-fishing isn't the most profitable of businesses to be on.
"Our prices will change between the US dollar and how strong it is, and the demand in China, and other fish being caught around the world," Kieren explained.
"So we get paid per kilo on what price the crayfish factory can get for us."
