Traffic has been reduced to a crawl getting out of Auckland for the Easter weekend.
Traffic is heavy southbound on the SH1 link to SH2 eastbound at Pokeno.
New Zealand Transport Agency are asking motorists to expect delays and allow extra time for your journey when travelling through this area.
NZTA are predicting that SH1 - Takanini (South of Auckland) will remain heaviest from 7.30am to 2.30pm.
