State Highway 2 has reopened after one person was seriously injured after a crash between a car and truck in Hawke's Bay this morning.
Police were called to the scene in Poukawa, Hastings, at about 7.30am.
The driver of the car was taken to hospital by ambulance.
The driver of the truck was not injured, police said.
Motorists have been advised to take extra care on the roads this weekend, particularly in areas where rain is forecast.
