SH 12 in Kaihohe closed after car crash leaves one person critical, one serious

One person is in a critical condition after a single-car crash in Kaikohe which has closed State Highway 12.

Police were called to the scene at about 3.25pm and an ambulance and helicopter were dispatched.

St John Ambulance told 1 NEWS one person is in a critical condition and another in a serious condition after the car crashed into a pole.

Diversions are in place on SH 12.
