Police investigating after jewellery store ram raided on Auckland's North Shore

Police are investigating following a ram raid burglary at a Michael Hill jewellery store on Auckland's North Shore this morning.

Initial enquiries suggest two cars were involved in the burglary, one of which smashed the front doors of the store after backing into it on Lake Road, Tapakuna, at around 5am, police confirmed to 1 NEWS in a statement.

It's not yet known what was taken from the store.

Police are searching for the vehicles involved, a white Nissan Tilda and a silver four-door sedan.

Anyone who may have seen the vehicles in the Lake Road area early today have been urged to contact their local police station.
