Photos: Spectacular sunset captivates Canterbury and Nelson residents

A stunning sunset graced the skies of Canterbury, Nelson and Marlborough tonight and 1 NEWS viewers captured the scene in all its glory.

The sunset appeared to have an orange glow at one point and also took on a brick red hue as it sank in the west.
