A person is being taken to hospital with critical injuries after a trench collapsed on them in Auckland this afternoon.
An ambulance and other emergency services were called to the scene in the suburb of New Windsor at 1.45pm, a St John Spokesperson told 1 NEWS
Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) specialists worked at the scene, which is believed to be a private residence. to free the person.
No one else was injured in the incident.
WorkSafe New Zealand says it hasn’t been notified of the incident at this stage.
