Person falls 60m down cliff, winched to safety by rescue helicopter near Hunterville

A person has been winced to safety after falling down a 60 metre cliff near Hunterville, in the Rangitikei District, overnight.

Emergency services were called to the Vinegar Hill Domain at around 2am this morning.

A helicopter with a wince was used to rescue the person, who was injured after falling down the steep bank.
