Person arrested after fatal three car crash in Carterton

One person has been arrested after a fatal crash on State Highway Two in Carterton today.

Police are appealling for witnesses following the three car crash in which one person died, just after midday.

Police say one person has been arrested in connection to the crash and is "assisting" them with their inquiries.

Anyone who witnessed a red Holden Commodore speeding along High Street South in Carterton at around 12:30pm is urged to call police on 105 or anonymously on 0800 555 111.
