Pedestrian dies after being struck by car in Auckland

A pedestrian has died after being struck by a car in the Auckland suburb of Albany today.

Police say emergency services were called to Oteha Valley Road near Mayfair Drive at 7:33am this morning.

The pedestrian died at the scene.

The road is currently closed, with Serious Crash Unit on the way.

Diversions are being put in place and people are asked to avoid the area .
