One person has been critically injured after a truck and people mover crashed in Dargaville this morning.
Police say the crash occurred around 10:30am on Pouto Rd.
Two people have received injuries, with one person in critical condition and the other in a serious condition.
Footage of the aftermath of the crash, sent to 1 NEWS from the Auckland Rescue Helicopter Trust, shows a Toyota people mover crashed into a ditch, with pieces of the vehicle strewn across the road.
The large truck which was involved in the crash can be seen blocking both directions of the road in the background.
The Auckland Westpac Rescue Helicopter was sent to the scene where they say two people were trapped in their vehicles.
After being pulled from the vehicles, the rescue helicopter transported one woman in her 20s to Whangarei Hospital in a serious condition.
Police say the person in a critical condition has also been transferred to hospital.
The Serious Crash Unit is currently investigating.
