One person dead after single-vehicle crash in Christchurch

One person has died after a single-vehicle crash in Sumner, Christchurch.

Police were alerted at around 11.30am to the crash near Summit Road.

Motorists are asked to avoid the area.

An investigation into the cause of the crash is underway.
