One person is dead after a car crashed 10 off a road in Colville on the Coromandel Peninsula, overnight.
St John Ambulance say they were alerted to the accident on Port Jackson Rd at 11.18pm yesterday.
Police say one man died after a vehicle left Port Jackson Road on to rocks below.
Another person received critical injuries while two other passengers were seriously injured.
The Serious Crash Unit is examining the scene and the death has been referred to the Coroner.
