One person dead after car and motorcycle crash in Christchurch

A crash between a car and motorcycle in Christchurch has left one person dead this evening.

The crash occurred on Dyers Pass Rd just after 5pm today.

Police said one other person sustained serious injuries in the crash.

Dyers Pass Rd has been closed by police as emergency services continue to work at the crash scene.

Traffic is currently being diverted back down Hackthorne Rd.
