A murder charge has been laid after a 35-year-old man died at Snells Beach, north Auckland overnight.
The incident unfolded after an argument between two people known to each other, police say.
Police were called shortly after 11:30pm last night and a 33-year-old man will appear in the North Shore District Court today charged with murder.
Police say a scene examination is ongoing today.
