Part-time Seven Sharp co-host and NZ musician Anika Moa has announced she’s pregnant for the first time.

Mrs Moa and her wife Natasha Utting shared the news on Instagram with a photo inspired by Handmaid's Tale.

"Blessed day! We are joyous to announce that we are expecting a child. Of Natasha is carrying the precious fruit," she wrote.

The couple married last year and have three children - Soren, Barry and Taane.

The baby is due in March.
