Men brandishing machete, hammer rob Christchurch bakery

A Christchurch bakery has been robbed by two men armed with a hammer and a machete.

Police were called to Buns 24/7 Bakery on Ferry Road shortly after 4am today.

A police spokesperson say cigarettes were stolen and the pair left on foot.

There are no reported injuries.
