A 22-year-old man has been arrested after a Motueka woman was allegedly attacked as she walked home in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Police said the man will appear in the Nelson District Court on July 12, charged with assault.
"Inquiries are ongoing and further charges may be laid," a spokesperson said.
"Police would like to thank the response from those members of the public who came forward with information to assist in the enquiry."
