Magnitude 4.4 earthquake rocks central North Island

March 13, 2018

The central North Island has been rattled by a light earthquake this afternoon.

The magnitude 4.4 quake was located 35km west of Ohakune.

GeoNet placed its depth at 23km.

To date, over 900 people have reported feeling it.
