Police have launched a homicide investigation after a man who was found unconscious on a Whanganui street died from his injuries last night.
The 56-year-old man was found unconscious at 3am on Tinirau Street, Whanganui East on April 20 and died in Taranaki Hospital last night.
Whanganui Police say they have now launched a homicide investigation over the death.
Police would like to hear from anyone who saw or heard anything out of the ordinary in the Tinirau Street area in the early hours of the morning on April 20.
