A homicide investigation is underway after a body was discovered at a rural location, north of Dunedin on Monday night.
Police say a residential property in Lock Street in the Dunedin suburb of St Clair is being examined over the discovery of the body.
Police want to speak to anyone who saw a Dark Blue 1995 Toyota Emina as it was being driven from Dunedin to Picton in the early hours of Tuesday February 5. Anyone who may have seen this vehicle can contact Police on 03 471 4800.
Formal identification of the body, which was found at 8pm, is yet to take place with a postmortem scheduled for Thursday.
