Givealittle page set up for families affected by the Christchurch terror attacks reaches over $4.5 million

March 18, 2019
After an act of cowardice, we bring you the stories of courage and heroism. And, as we discover, while this terrorist aimed to divide our communities, we’re more united than ever.

The Givealittle page set up for families affected by the Christchurch twin terror attacks has reached over $4.5 million with close to 63,000 donors.

The Givealittle fundraiser began on March 15 and has since raised $4,541,280.36.

A statement on the website says, “We've been overwhelmed with donations - more than we thought possible - and we now need to create more formal processes than would be needed for the much smaller fund we expected this page would create."

All donations received through the fund will be ring-fenced to provide resources and support to those affected by this horrific event, Victim Support says.
