Police are asking Picton residents to avoid the area around the railway station due to a gas leak.
They were notified around 9.45am of a gas cylinder that was leaking at the station.
The area is cordoned off up to 200m away and both police and fire service are in attendance.
Experts are currently assessing the situation and ferry services have been advised.
