Fundraiser concerts for Christchurch terror attack victims attracts many of NZ's highest-profile musicians

The You Are Us Aroha Nui shows will feature top Kiwi acts like Dave Dobbyn and Six60.

A major fundraising concert has just been announced showcasing a big line-up of Kiwi artists to benefit those affected by the Christchurch mosque attacks.

The April event called You Are Us/Aroha Nui will be hosted by New Zealander of the Year Mike King and will include a line-up of performers such as Anika Moa, Bene, Bic Runga, Dave Dobbyn, Fat Freddy’s Drop, Hollie Smith, Shapeshifter, Six60 and Stan Walker.

Two concerts will be held, one in Auckland’s Spark Arena on April 13 and the next at Christchurch Stadium on April 17th.

Tickets go on sale at 12pm this Thursday for the Auckland concert and at 12pm on Friday for the Christchurch concert.

Ticket prices will be $79 for adults and $39 for children 12 years old and under.

"The impact on our Muslim communities has been huge and they are going to need ongoing support for a very long time," Christchurch Mayor Lianne Dalziel said in a statement accompanying the concert announcement. "The response of the music industry has been magnificent and we are all grateful for the significance of this contribution to the Muslim community’s long term recovery."
