The FBI is now scouring its intelligence databases, looking for any possible US-based connections to yesterday's Christchurch mosque terror attacks, CNN has reported.
With 49 dead and others still critical following yesterday's horrific shootings at two separate mosques, the FBI is requesting all field offices review their case files and management systems for subjects that may have expressed interest in attacking religious institutions, CNN's source from within law enforcement said.
It comes after the terrorist attack at two mosques left 49 dead.
The FBI has also tasked field offices with contacting informants with possible information on any potential attacks within the USA.
The current situation in Christchurch is being monitored, and the FBI is engaging with local police at the present time, CNN reported.
