Delays expected after truck crash blocks State Highway 1 at Marton

State Highway 1 is blocked at Marton in the lower North Island after a truck hit a rail overbridge.

Police say the truck jack-knifed at around 6.20am at the intersection with Calico Line.

The sole occupant of the truck suffered minor injuries.

State Highway 1 is blocked and diversions are in place around Wings Line and Calico Line.

Motorists are advised to expect delays.
