Crash on main highway to Auckland Airport causes delays

A crash on the main route to Auckland Airport is causing delays this afternoon.

The NZ Transport Agency says: "An incident is blocking SH20A/George Bolt Memorial Dr southbound and the left turn from Verissimo Dr onto SH20A/George Bolt Memorial Dr."

A Twitter post from the agency just before 5pm suggests those needing to get to the airport take SH20B as an alternative route.

However, they warn delays can also be expected on SH20B due to the incident on SH20A.
