A child has been taken to hospital in serious condition after a water incident at an Auckland YMCA pool this afternoon.
St John say that one patient has been transported to Starship Hospital in serious condition.
They have confirmed that the water related incident occurred at Lagoon Pool and Leisure Centre YMCA in Panmure.
The incident comes after a spate of drownings last week has seen calls for lifeguards at lakes around New Zealand.
