Police have found the body of a tramper in the Nelson Lakes National Park. 

The man failed to return from a tramping trip on Friday, and a search and rescue operation began yesterday. 

The man's body was found in the Mt Robert Range area at 9.30am today. 

His body will be airlifted out.
