Search and rescue team looking for missing man John (Johnny) Mohi have found a body in Maketu, Bay of Plenty this evening.
Police say while the formal identification of the body is still to be completed the search and rescue operation for Mr Mohi has been put on hold.
John Kohi Mohi, also known as John Moses, was last seen on Wilson Road, in the Maketu area, on Monday at around 1pm, Tauranga Police Inspector Zane Smith said.
The local community banded together in the search for Mr Mohi, who has dementia.
Police have thanked the community and volunteers who supported the search.
