Police believe a body found in Christchurch's Hillmorton is that of 63-year-old Christine Barton, reported missing on Monday.
The body was located yesterday evening, police said in a statement today.
Ms Barton was last seen on October 3. Stuff reports her body was found in a stream.
Police say a formal identification process is ongoing, but the death is not thought to be suspicious and will be referred to the Coroner.
