Fire crews have extinguished a blaze which has gutted a motel room on Napier’s waterfront.
The room sits on the top floor of the Shoreline Motel on Marine Parade.
It's unclear if the room was occupied at the time.
A small part of Marine Parade heading north has been closed and detours are in place.
