Auckland managed isolation facility briefly evacuated due to fire alarm

People staying at an Auckland managed isolation facility were briefly evacuated onto the street this evening due to a fire alarm.

Fire and Emergency NZ says the fire alarm at the Pullman Hotel turned out to be a "false alarm".

Images online of the evacuation show Defence Force personnel guarding the people isolating their on the street as they wait to get the all clear.

According to Fire and Emergency NZ people have now returned to their rooms.
