It's the premiere of the world's most successful dating show, this week with TVNZ.
The Farmer Wants a Wife
Monday 7 September, 8.45pm on TVNZ 2
With 99 marriages and 225 beautiful farmer babies worldwide, The Farmer Wants a Wife is the most successful dating show on the planet.
Host Natalie Gruzlewski plays cupid as she brings together five Aussie farmers - Alex, Harry, Neil, Nick and Sam - on their quest to find true love.
From the thousands of single women who saw their profiles online and applied to meet them, each farmer has chosen their favourite eight to come and join them for a series of dates. Sparks fly as the farmers and their ladies get to know each other, but our farmers can only take four of these women home with them.
Back on the farms, the farmers have one month to learn more about their chosen women and determine if there is enough chemistry and commonality between them to spark forever love. Whether it’s first love or a second chance at happiness, these five farmers are ready to find their forever love.
The Salisbury Poisonings
Sunday 6 September, 8.30pm on TVNZ 1
In March 2018, former Russian military officer Sergei Skripal and his daughter Yulia were found slumped and foaming at the mouth on a city centre bench, having been poisoned with the deadly nerve agent Novichok.
Immediately, Salisbury became the site of an unprecedented national emergency. This two-part dramatisation focuses not on the event itself, but on the extraordinary heroism shown by the local community, including Wiltshire’s Director of Public Health Tracy Daszkiewicz (played by Anne-Marie Duff).
Also starring MyAnna Buring as Dawn Sturgess and Rafe Spall as Detective Sergeant Nick Bailey.
The World's Deadliest
Monday 7 September, 9.30pm on TVNZ 1
When your life is on the line, what decides whether you live or die?
The World’s Deadliest explores how split-second decisions mean life or death and why against all the odds some people survive to tell the tale. Through the eyes of those who’ve danced with death, discover the true meaning of life and how determination, judgement, desire and plenty of luck helped these people live to tell the tale.
Season 1-7 available Sunday 6 September, 12pm on TVNZ OnDemand
Seven seasons of the comedy masterpiece are landing on TVNZ OnDemand!
Greg Davies is the "Taskmaster" in this game show that challenges the wit and wisdom of five comedians, who are all putting their reputations on the line. Sidekick Alex Horne assists Davies in setting up unique and ridiculous tasks for the competitors. The competition is further charged by the fact that the prize pot is made up of each person's personal possessions, which they lose to the overall winner.
