As New Zealand gets ready to head to the ballot box this October, 1 NEWS is bringing voters comprehensive coverage and analysis of this year’s General Election.
The first live Leaders’ Debate takes place between Jacinda Ardern and Judith Collins, and this will be the first-time voters get to see the leaders of the country’s two biggest parties going head-to-head in a primetime debate.
John Campbell will moderate the Leaders’ Debate alongside Political Editor, Jessica Mutch McKay.

The Trouble with Maggie Cole

Starring Dawn French and Julie Hesmondhalgh (Coronation Street), The Trouble with Maggie Cole is a new comedy drama series focusing on Maggie Cole, the self-appointed oracle of a close-knit community.
When a radio journalist interviews Maggie (French) about local life, she gives him far more detail and embellishment about the locals and their personal lives than he was counting on. Following the broadcast, Maggie gets into trouble as the fallout disrupts the lives of some of her fellow residents. Maggie must also face some dark secrets that her own family has been harbouring.

Between Two Worlds

Uke Can Do It takes talented young ukulele musicians aspiring for musical greatness and pairs them up with various NZ music icons.
From Six60’s Chris Mac to Shihad’s John Toogood, these young Kiwis get all the inspiration they need from some of New Zealand’s best songwriters.
Together, they come up with a funky uke-jam and are then thrown into Roundhead Studios to record their original song together.
